Will this battery be compatible with my 99 VW Jetta Wolfsburg 2.0? And, can I run a 12V cigarettes lighter to this type of battery?
Dear Jackie, Thank you for reaching out to us with your questions. Regarding your first question, the LFP4L-BS-STD battery is not compatible with your 1999 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg 2.0. This battery does not provide the necessary capacity and power required to start your vehicle reliably. We recommend selecting a battery specifically designed for automotive starting applications to ensure optimal performance. As for your second question, we do not recommend using a 12V cigarette lighter to charge this type of battery. There are safety risks associated with this method, as the cigarette lighter outlet typically provides a maximum voltage of 12V, which is insufficient to fully charge the battery. Attempting to charge the battery this way would only replenish about 5% of its capacity, which is neither practical nor safe. For proper and safe charging, we advise using a dedicated battery charger designed for this specific battery type.
